Full-time Lecturer

Hiroki Ohsawa is a worldwide award-winning film and commercial director, and a full-time lecturer in filmmaking at Kinjo Gakuin University. Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Ohsawa studied filmmaking at Waseda University and worked in intercorporate toy sales for Bandai Namco Group before moving to Los Angeles. He earned his MFA in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy and has directed films and commercials based in both Hollywood and Tokyo since 2017. His works have received a total of 36 awards and nominations across 7 countries. Ohsawa also teaches hands-on filmmaking at universities in both Japan and the U.S., collaborating with industry, academia, and government. Meanwhile, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Media and Information Literacy at the Graduate School of Tohoku University.

世界で受賞歴のある映画・CM監督、兼、金城学院大学専任教員（専門：映画・CM制作）。東京出身。早稲田大学で映像メディア制作を学び、バンダイ・ナムコグループで玩具営業職を２年勤めたのち、渡米。ロサンゼルスの映画大学院 New York Film AcademyにてMFA（芸術学修士）を取得後、2017年よりハリウッドと東京を拠点に映画・CM監督として活動。世界7ヶ国で計36の受賞・ノミネート歴を持つ。また、日米の大学で産学官連携を含めた実践的な映像制作教育を行いつつ、東北大学大学院博士課程後期（情報リテラシー論）に在籍。
